Number One Medicare Member Retention Organization
Despite lifestyle differences in those 65 and older the need to have their health care needs met does not vary in fact if you do not have your health you have nothing- so the saying goes. This is why it is so important that when you reach those “Golden years” you don’t let your health insurance lap into the no coverage zone.
The word “senior” might conjugate the visual of old but in truth seniors a quite a diverse group- from being grandparents, artists, to skiing. My neighbor’s father still likes to rock climb- the point is, if you have your health you can still do anything despite your age and that is why it is so important that seniors remain covered under their health insurance.
Unfortunately with other companies there are too many times members get lost in the system; one such reason is due to poor communication: Members may not know the application process, they did not receive updates or recertification mail, there were language barriers, literacy issues that may have risen, and or members are embarrassed as they get confused about benefits.
With health care laws forever changing it is easy to become confused with all the information out there, this is why SSC members are so fortunate to have a personal advocate that not only will keep them informed of any benefit changes but can explain any notifications a member might have received in the mail on health care issues.
SSC recognizes the needs of the most vulnerable population- poor, youth, disabled, chronically ill, and disabled. SSC is experience in working with culturally diverse and challenged populations and will never turn anyone away for questions, lack of knowledge on something, or disparity issues that contribute to non-compliant actions. We are all in this together to make sure you are getting the health care benefits you deserve and qualify for.
Social Service Coordinators makes it a priority to not let problems such as these happen, we value you and your health care needs in fact this is exactly why every member works with their own advocate time and time again so they know who they are talking with and can get the answers they need immediately. The member also receives in the mail updated information such as newsletters, renewal postcards, benefit update flyers, and phone calls. Our advocates are so concerned for their members they even know preferred calling times, historical behavior, and more.
When members are happy they continue to stay enrolled with their health care plan, but having health insurance coverage is only the first step. For health care benefits to be sufficient to the needs of the member there needs to be some intervention by the advocate to assure the member has an adequate network of quality providers and can receive the right health care at the right time as the consumer.
Why is it so important to keep our members happy? Because by keeping our members happy we keep improving their Medicare retention and when you do that you reduce the number of uninsured people, making their health insurance coverage more secure thereby improving the measurement of health care quality, and ultimately improving people’s health.
Research shows that even brief gaps in health care coverage can have harmful consequences for people, due to the lack of proper care or an interruption in prescription drugs during the time when they are uninsured. However when there is not a drop in coverage administrative costs are more likely to stay low allowing for program administrators while improving on the quality of service delivered, to improve also on the quality of care.
As a result of building loyalty with our members we will continue to take our jobs very seriously because we know are members deserve our trust, accessibility, and a continuity of care which can only be provided when a member is the number one focus. Social Service Coordinators is proud to achieve high levels of satisfaction amongst its members and commits to continue the outreach efforts of awareness and continuity of care.
Medicare member retention begins here with Social Service Coordinators, providing excellent member services which helps protect their members from gaps in Medicare coverage, ensuring a network of quality health care professionals.
